Announcing The 6th Annual Wescoe Walk
A whole lotta fun!
Plans are already being made for our 6th Annual
Wescoe Walk! It will be held at Upper Saucon Township Park on October
30, 2010. For details on how you can
sign up to walk, be a sponsor or volunteer, call Jennifer Wescoe-Schaninger
at (484) 553-6340.
Details about The Wescoe Walk 2010:
WHEN?
• Saturday,
October 30, 2010
• 9:00
a.m. arrival time and 9:29 a.m. walk time
• Rain
or shine
WHERE?
• Upper
Saucon Township Park (click here for
map)
• via
Rte. 378 & Preston Lane, Center Valley, Pennsylvania
• Meet
under the pavilion before and after the walk
• Refreshments
will be provided after the walk
HOW FAR?
• The
distance is 3K (about 2 miles or 2 laps around the park path)
• Walk
as far as you are able
• Everyone
can participate (all ages)
REQUEST FOR VOLUNTEERS
• Volunteers
are needed to help at water stations as well as other helpful functions

Several events will be taking
place this year:
• We
planted a tree at the park in memory of my Dad. Come, see the tree
while you walk.
• Nursing
students from Cedar Crest College will be conducting health screenings.
• Southern
Lehigh High School Cheerleaders will be encouraging all participants.
• HOT
COFFEE, HOT CHOCOLATE, and pastries. Thanks to our friend, Jim Johnson.
• We
will be selling caps and BREATHE bracelets again; proceeds go
to both organizations.
• John
O'Connor will DJ again this year. Thanks John!
On behalf of the entire staff, family and friends of the Wescoe Walk
for Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, thank you to everyone who helped
make this Benefit Walk a terrific success...again!
